Repairing nails with acrylic?

Hello - I recently decided to repair a few of my cracked nails with some acrylic that I bought at the store. It came with a brush that i used to apply the acylic but the brush became rock hard after - is their any way to clean off the acrylic from the brush or should I just buy cheap kiddie paint brushes or something? Thanks
