My doctor has scheduled a hysterectomy in 3 weeks...help me! ?

I had an abdominal hyst in 1993. The pain was minimal, but I was off work for 4 weeks. I could have went back to work in one though. You will probably be in the hosp for around 3 days with no complications and depending which surgery you have. l is the best way to go and yes, my advice is to have your cervix removed, hence no cervical cancer. changes, yes absolutely. I have NO drive. Please take hormone replacement, that will help. I also have full blown osteoporosis from not taking my hormones and I am only 44. It will throw you into menopause. If your doctor tells you it will not affect your life, he is a liar. You will also most likely gain some weight. If I had it to do over, I would not do it!
